Another hectic month for Jirrima
April~ Young Rider Festival
Holly Atkins and J Ya Jet spent their easter holidays at the 2009 Hamag EFA Young Rider Festival. With preliminary jumping rounds conducted during the week and only the top 25 competing in the finals on the friday. Congratulations to both horse and rider for making the finals in both of their sections of the SJ. Final placings were 8th and 15th.
April~ Mansfield ODE
This was a fantastic event and congratulations must go to all those who made the weekend a success. A brand new and very professional XC course was the talking point amongst competitors, which was also very spectator friendly. The large number of entries were well organised by a very hands on committee and club members.

April~ Update from SA
Verdict or Verdi (as he is now called at his new home) has hit the ground running, well trotting really. After a warm-up 20km ride at the end of march Verdict and Jodie have just completed 120km in 3 days over Easter. I was thinking of you whilst eating my easter eggs, Jodie! However, I will line up for the after care treatment. Massages. Mmmm....
Verdict and Jodie at their first endurance ride as a combination. They just did the 20km training ride to feel each other out! Truro Easter Bunny Ride, 120km over 3 days.
Just to end off the month we did something different. It just proves how small the horse world is. We were involved with a friend who took two beautifully prepared yearlings to the Inglis April Yearling Sales in Melbourne. People I have not seen in years were there so a great get together. To make the occassion even better Mario, Jenny and Alex Cesnik got the top price yearling! The colt was a beauty. Other friends of mine bought a yearling off them as well. One of the yearlings we took down went off her feed on the 3rd day. We had pulled out the Prydes Prep Concentrate. Added it back into her feed and she was back on track! It certainly is a fantastic feed.
