No January competitions, but continued training
There are no results to report for January 2010 as there have not been any competitions.
Training has continued and we are preparing to compete next weekend in a small local competition in Southport, Qld. The following weekend we are entered in the P.R.A.R.G. competition.
Forthcoming events are Dressage and Eventing with the Stars in Melbourne (Australian Young Dressage Horse Championships for 4, 5 & 6yrs) and a competition in Sydney in April/May. We have also entered for Toowoomba.
Joern Kubelke from Germany has been in Queensland this week and Tor has been having daily lessons with him on several different horses (Hanoverian Dressage Clinic, Caboolture).
Elliott Patterson has been working with us on the farm and he too has had several lessons with Joern, as has Sarah Sutherland on her young horse Waratah Armani whom she will compete at Novice and Elementary levels this year. Sarah will also be riding Florett at Prix St George and Inter 1 levels this year.
Next month’s report should see some positive results for us with Tor riding not only Fisherman’s Friend, but several other horses as well.
