Hi Peter, Ron and everyone, Funnily enough, it has been just a bit quiet this month!!! EI is creeping closer to us, bit as yet is not in my immediate area, So I still have the riding school locked down to minimise risk of someone bringing it in. Feed wise, I am busily fattening up my old horses, making sure they are in peak condition, so that should we be hit with EU, they have a better chance of kicking it without complications. I have several old horses here which are of a concern to me. I am also closely wathching my one broodmare still in foal, like a a hawk. She is looking amazing (Biomare Cubes), bit is is such a bad season, I am not counting ckickens until the foal hits the ground (due Dec). I have already lost two foals this season (one mare aborted in July, due to an infection she'd picked up somehow, and the second one last month aborted with twins - missed in the 45 day scan, so very, very sad). I have also just taken ownership of a Andalusian/Freisian Stallion, which I am thinking of campaingning a bit next year as a potential pony dressage sire (he is just under 15hh, and jet black). I will get some photos through to you next month, as I have put him on EasiResponse (about 3 weeks ago now). and his coat is really picking up. This horse was a defaulted Agistee payment, and as I can't sell him at the moment, I may as well ride him!). So looking ahead to 2008 season, I will have 2 stallions out and about, my gelding, Latin Coda, and possibly a client's mare. So does look to be a busy time!
