It’s often that the horses who challenge you, and drive you a little crazy, are the ones that you grow most fond of. For Pryde’s sponsored rider Elizabeth Welch, or Libby, that’s the case with her beloved mare, Mayfield Frizzante.

With paddocks staying damp and mud lingering long after winter, horse owners are facing ongoing challenges that can impact comfort, hoof health and overall wellbeing. 

Pryde’s equine nutritionist Bethanie Gagliardi explains, “Extended wet conditions can be just as stressful for horses as cold weather. The key is staying proactive with daily checks and smart management.”

Monty, sometimes better known as ‘The Shark’, ‘The Monster’, or just ‘Monster’ for short, was a 14-hand whaler pony from Darwin. He got his nickname from his habit of biting people if they got a little too close.
